Here are a few highlights from the BCI drawing request stream we did last weekend! We love doing these things and are working on ideas to do more in the future, maybe as a regular thing!
Of course, we should also note that Ask Roseville High is on hiatus for the time being. We don’t have any answers left in the buffer. Keep sending in questions and Vero will get around to drawing the answers eventually, but there’s no date for now.
Once again, a drawing stream! This time for long-time BCI members, but come join and maybe you can request something too?! Or just join and chat.
We are streaming right now to lotsa people! Come join us and watch Vero draw requests from BCI members and stuff! It is our internet new-apartment-warming so you totally should say hello. We’ll be running until late tonight and might reblog this later.
From now until May 30 we’re planning something special for Bittersweet Club International members! If you sign up, you’ll not only get all these special comics to read…
But you’ll also get the opportunity to post a BCB drawing request to be drawn by Vero in a huge long livestream we have planned. It’s all to help us better afford to rent a new apartment (which we really really hope to find and move into next month.)
Subscriptions are $39 and last for a year — and you’ll get gifts in the mail, access tons of exclusive member-only comics (a whole book’s worth!) and, of course, an art request, for free! If you like getting the most out of the money you spend on webcomics, it is a super good deal — way more exclusive content than even we put into our books.
Veronica Vera and Oliver Bareham (Bittersweet Candy Bowl) are coming to ConnectiCon 2014!
Veronica “Taeshi” Vera has been drawing comics since she was a child. Inspired by cartoons and TV drama, the idea of a comic about angsty cats in love was probably inevitable! Together with her partner Oliver she has published comics online since 2006.
Following a group of cats and dogs through high school, Bittersweet Candy Bowl is filled with a mixture of comedy and romantic drama. Packed with casual flings, happy couples, and the occasional awkward date, it may just be the most comprehensive story about teenage cats and dogs ever told!
Oh boy! You’re all coming, right?
Drawing attention to some great AMVs (.. WMVs?) made by SupaBlueFire, who has been a super-dedicated reader for years. I sent her a message asking if she would consider making another one after thesetwo from ages ago that we were so amused by. And of course, she totally goes overboard and makes all of the below for me to show Vero once I arrived in Chicago:
